What made you want to join MU Bud­dies?

“Two sum­mers ago (and I’m prob­a­bly go­ing to do it against next sum­mer) I was a camp coun­selor at [Won­der­land Camp] for twelve weeks. It’s in the Lake of the Ozarks. It’s a camp for any­one with cog­ni­tive or phys­i­cal dis­abil­i­ties or ail­ments and it just gave me a re­ally good change in per­cep­tion of the world and it just kind of puts things — it’s a re­al­ity check ba­si­cally. You just re­ally en­joy the peo­ple you get to work with and every­one’s pretty sweet and nice, and so­ci­ety, at least in the US is kind of crappy to peo­ple with dis­abil­i­ties, so it’s nice to give them a break from be­ing treated like they aren’t hu­man.
