Maryville’s Campus Activities Board held its first Picnic and Ponies event on Nov. 6. The sunny 60-degree weather was perfect. Seventeen students and advisors came out to ride horses and enjoy a picnic lunch. “We had a great turn out, the event was definitely well-received,” stated Nelson.
CAB off-campus chair Shelby Nelson stated that “at the beginning of the year, the CAB officers come together and talk about ideas on events we would want to do…brainstorming. We thought horseback riding would be fun and having a picnic at the stables would be cool, so the event grew from that.”
The students who went had a great time horsing around. An upcoming CAB event in December will be going to an escape room.
