Food Truck Friday

I was counting down the days until Food Truck Friday as well as counting my calories because I figured with all the food truck options; it would be a big “splurge” day. The day finally arrived and when I arrived to Tower Grove Park to see truck after truck and line after line of people I felt once again like a kid at Disney World for the very first time.  I decided to walk up and down the line to see which food trucks were there and which one would be my first stop.  Chachachow looked the best and also had the longest line but I felt like that was a good sign so I waited and wow was it worth the wait.  I ordered the walking taco which when I tell you was the best taco I ever had, I mean it.  The soft tortilla was filled with a crunchy chicken strip with a spicy mayo and a jalapeno slaw.  The flavors of the 3 combined worked together so well I thought of standing back in line for a second.  My boyfriend really wanted to try the mangia mobile since Italian is his favorite so we went there and had some toasted ravioli, which was also good.  We then made our way towards the falafelwich wagon and had a falafel.  After that we went to the “diner” truck and had chili cheese fries and funnel cake.  Those were worth every calorie.  I wanted to make my way to the cupcake truck as well as the taco one but I was too afraid I would have to unbutton my pants. There is another Food truck Friday coming up in October and I plan on going and standing in lines for the trucks that I did not get to try yet. Food trucks are the newest things and they seem to be everywhere we look.  They are convenient, fattening, and tasty, and they are just what America does not need but what’s not to like.
