Maryville University’s literary magazine, Magnolia, is now looking for submissions to be published in this spring’s issue. Maryville students, faculty, staff, and alumni are all welcome to submit their original poetry, short stories, and essays. Artwork and photography is also encouraged.
All submissions are due by February 28, 2011. In order to submit a piece, e-mail it to magnoliamaryville@gmail.com as an attachment. At the top of the file or in the body of the e-mail, include your full name, address, phone number, e-mail address, a description of you (e.g. Junior, English Major), and a description of Media (for artwork submissions).
In its seven years of publication, Magnolia has won awards each year.
“Not all submissions make it in to the magazine so those students whose work does make it in have accomplished something important; publication,“ commented Germaine Murray, advisor of Magnolia.
Copies of Magnolia will be available in the bookstore, Arts and Sciences office, and the library to enjoy and show off to friends and family.
